Ronnie Wood named Music Radio Personality Of The Year
Rock star Ronnie Wood has been named Music Radio Personality Of The Year at the Sony Radio Awards.
He showed DJ upstarts Moyles and Scott Mills, both 37, who is king of the airwaves by scooping the coveted gong.
The wild man guitarist, who beat motormouth Chris Moyles, funnyman Frank Skinner, 54, and BBC 6 Music’s Jarvis Cocker, 47, bounced back after decades of battling against booze and drugs problems, reports the Daily Star.
It is an amazing comeback for wood, who only took to the mike at Absolute Radio a year ago.
