Is the guitarist with the Faces and the Rolling Stones.

Elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 (as a member of the Rolling Stones).

He was the original choice to replace Brian Jones in the Stones in 1969, but lost out to Mick Taylor due to the fact that for some reason he didn't receive the message that Jagger and Richards had sent him an invitation to join. He eventually did join when Taylor quit the band.

His brother was the singer Art Wood who died in 2006.

Revealed in an interview with the British Sunday Mirror that his doctors have discovered traces of emphysema in both his lungs, and therefore ordered him to quit his 30-a-day smoking habit immediately. Ronnie already gave up drinking alcohol before the Stones embarked on their worldwide Forty Licks tour, since prior to that he had been getting through a bottle and a half of vodka every day. Had two older brothers named Arthur (1937-2006) and Ted (died in 2004).

Grandfather of Arthur, Leo and Lola (Jesse's children with Tilly), Maggie Dylan, born on May 18th 2009 (Leah and Jack Macdonald's daughter).

Father of Jesse Wood, with Krissy Findlay (who died in 2005), Leah (b. September 22, 1978) and Tyrone with Jo Karslake, and Jamie.
